Florida NPL takes next step with ENPL qualification status

CHARLESTON, S.C. (March 30, 2017) - One of the NPL’s oldest members has a new title: ENPL qualifying competition. The Florida NPL will enter the 2017-18 season with six years of NPL expertise and 16 clubs ready to take the league to the next level.

Like the previously announced qualifying NPLs, the Florida NPL has taken advantage of an array of US Club Soccer programming, including Player Development Programs (PDP) events and Players First.

The league now adds to an impressive collection of ENPL qualifying competitions in the southeast, alongside the South Atlantic Premier League, Virginia NPL and Boys ECNL Southeast Conference.

By providing qualification paths for both team-based and club-based competitions, the ENPL will feature the best boys players in US Club Soccer. The regular season competition within each NPL and Boys ECNL Conference are unique and independently structured; however, consistent technical and competitive standards will apply, and all teams will be focusing on the same postseason destination: the ENPL Playoffs.

Florida NPL clubs in 2017-18 are: ACYS Spirit United, Boca United/South Florida United, Chargers SC, Clay County SC, Florida Elite Soccer Academy, Florida Kraze Krush, GPS Florida West, GPS Orlando, IMG Academy, Jacksonville FC, Kendall SC, Space Coast United, Sunrise Soccer, Tampa Bay United, West Florida Flames and Weston FC.

The ENPL is a collaboration between US Club Soccer and the ECNL to raise standards in youth boys soccer across the country.
