CHARLESTON, S.C. (Sept. 25, 2014) - US Club Soccer is proud to announce that both the 2015 NPL Finals and the National Cup XIV Finals will be held at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind.
The 2015 NPL Finals, slated for July 9-13, is the targeted destination for all U-13 through U-18 boys and girls NPL teams throughout the country, as the culminating event of year-long, league-based competition.
The National Cup XIV Finals, which will take place July 17-20, is the closing event of US Club Soccer’s 14th annual cup-based national championship competition open to all members in U-13 through U-17 boys and girls age groups. Member teams in U-11 through U-18/19 boys and girls age groups are eligible to compete in National Cup XIV Regional events, with winning U-13 through U-17 teams from Regionals or qualifying state cups advancing to the National Cup XIV Finals.
Westfield’s Grand Park is located 20 miles from downtown Indianapolis and is an ideal national championship setting. Grand Park boasts 31 soccer fields, 26 baseball/softball diamonds and a pair of indoor facilities spanning more than 400 acres. Annually, Grand Park receives about 1.5 million visitors and is the largest multi-purpose youth sports complex in the country. In June 2014, it played host to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy playoffs.
“Grand Park’s impressive facilities are exactly what we look for in a national championship setting,” Bill Sage, US Club Soccer’s Executive Director, said. “We’re confident that the clubs that advance to this stage of competition in July will enjoy the quality atmosphere of both Grand Park and Westfield, Ind.”
“We’re thrilled to host both US Club Soccer national championships at Grand Park,” said Westfield Mayor Andy Cook. “We thoroughly enjoy welcoming teams from across the country to experience our Hoosier hospitality.”
