NPL Finals Web page | List of qualifying teams

In about a month and a half, the NPL Finals, formerly known as the NPL Champions Cup, arrives in Greensboro, N.C. The NPL Finals is the targeted destination for all NPL teams throughout the year-long, league-based competition each season. This is Part 3 of a Web series leading up to the culminating event, July 10-14.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (May 29, 2014) – What does the NPL Finals mean to you? For all NPL teams, it’s the coveted event where elevated play translates to national championships. For some clubs, it’s an expectation. For others, it’s a chance to make an unsuspecting Cinderella run through the brackets.

While winning a national title will cement your spot in history, getting to the NPL Finals is an achievement in itself. It takes a dominating presence in league play, individual and group development and plenty of teamwork. Win your respective NPL – a platform of competition and player identification – league, and you’re in. For some leagues, that extends to postseason league play and others are decided by regular season results.

We’re just over a month away until the NPL Finals kicks off in Greensboro, N.C., July 10-14. As a recent TopDrawerSoccer.com article described, “the NPL Finals is popping up on the horizon like a mouthwatering waypoint.”

The list of qualifying teams to the event is growing regularly. Three different clubs punched tickets to send at least three teams to the NPL Finals: Mississippi Fire (7; Gulf States Premier League), Davis Legacy SC (3; NorCal Premier League) and Northwest United Powell (3; Washington State Premier League).
